The Maryland Land Trust Alliance announces:
Land Conservation Conference 2011

WELCOME

Land Conservation Conference 2011, Maryland's annual conference and training workshop for land trusts, will be held this year on May 13th and 14th at the Conference Center at Sheppard Pratt in Towson. Expanded and spread over two days, the Land Conservation Conference 2011 will provide sessions on land trust management, emerging trends of climate change and new restoration opportunities for landowners, bridging land and historic preservation, new partnerships in land conservation, and strengthening your land trust.

This year’s conference promises to be better than ever. Nick Dilks, Treasurer of the Chesapeake Conservancy, will provide the keynote address on Saturday. Mr. Dilks will also highlight the Conservancy’s efforts to ensure that private land conservation is recognized and effectively utilized to meet federal and ecological goals for preserving the Chesapeake Bay watershed.

About the Center:
Surrounded by 100 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds, the Conference Center is conveniently located in Towson, Maryland, just 2.5 miles south of the Baltimore Beltway and 50 miles north of Washington, D.C. Free parking and ample handicapped spaces with easy access to the building are available. Nearby hotels offer special rates for participants using the conference facilities.

Land conservation and leadership awards will be announced at the Conference in our Land Trust Celebration.

Online registration is strongly encouraged.
